Tennis Event Transfers from Zurich Airport
Swiss Indoors Basel (ATP 500) fills St. Jakobshalle in late October and early November — about 60,000 visitors across the week, plus players, media and corporate boxes. Port Air Transfer is a private tennis event transfer from Zurich Airport (ZRH): we track the flight, meet you by name in arrivals, and drive to the hall, a Basel hotel or a hospitality address at a fixed fare agreed before you book. A pickup we personally guarantee; no tournament-week surge on the listed fare. In July we run the same service to the EFG Swiss Open Gstaad (ATP 250) at Roy Emerson Arena.
Zurich Airport to Swiss Indoors Basel
Fixed, all-inclusive fares for the most requested private transfers. Prices are confirmed when you book.
- Zurich Airport → Basel (Swiss Indoors / St. Jakobshalle) from CHF 297.50 Book this transfer
Daytime one-way sedan “from” prices. Night pickups (23:00–06:00) add 20%. Swiss Indoors week fills as soon as hospitality and hotels confirm — book then, not the night before. A second drop (hotel then St. Jakobshalle) or a same-day return to Zurich Airport is a fixed quote for the itinerary.
St. Jakobshalle — Swiss Indoors Basel
Swiss Indoors Basel is the ATP 500 indoor week at St. Jakobshalle (late October–early November, about 60,000 visitors). Zurich Airport (ZRH) to Basel is roughly an hour on the A1/A3 in ordinary traffic — the same road we already drive for Art Basel and Messe weeks. We drop at the hall, a city hotel or a hospitality address. Name the entrance or hotel so the last kilometre is planned, not a taxi hunt after a night session.
- One vehicle from arrivals. Name-sign meet after baggage, then the autobahn to Basel in one sitting. No Basel SBB change, no tram with racquet bags.
- Hall, hotel or both. Say St. Jakobshalle, the hotel name or a second stop (check-in, then the evening session). We quote one fixed fare for the itinerary.
- Return to ZRH. Same-day or next-day airport returns book as a second leg. Give the flight time so we are not early to an empty kerb.
- The same Basel road year-round. Messe and Art Basel weeks use this corridor too. Tennis week is the brief on this page; other Basel jobs are the same guaranteed pickup.
Timing around match schedules
Session times move; evening matches run late. Give us the first match or hospitality start when you book. Airport pickups include 60 minutes of free waiting and flight tracking; after that, waiting is CHF 30.00 per 15 minutes. Delays over 2 hours cannot be guaranteed with the same driver. Hotel-to-hall hops before an evening session include 15 minutes of lobby waiting. We do not invent a guaranteed clock time through Basel match-week traffic.
- Book with the hotel or box. The moment hospitality or the room is confirmed is the right moment to lock the car. Tournament week is not a walk-up market.
- Build in the road, not just the session. Plan around an hour from ZRH to St. Jakobshalle, plus extra in evening traffic. We leave with the flight and the road in mind.
- Evening finishes. A late last match is routine. Message us on WhatsApp if the session overruns; we wait where waiting is allowed.
- Days either side. Practice days, qualifying and the Monday after the final still need the same road. Same route, same guaranteed pickup.
Group and corporate hospitality
Boxes, sponsor groups and player-guest lists often travel together. A van fits more passengers and racquet or kit bags than a sedan. We quote one fixed fare for the vehicle, not a per-head meter. Companies that book several cars in the same week can invoice — see For Business.
- The right vehicle. Sedan for 1–3 with light luggage; van for groups, extra cases or kit bags. First Class when the brief asks for it. We do not claim a large fleet; we send a premium vehicle that fits the job.
- Multi-stop hospitality. Airport → hotel → St. Jakobshalle, or hall then a dinner address. Tell us the order; we confirm a single fare before you book.
- Named contact. You deal with us directly — not a ticket queue. WhatsApp and email for bookings, changes and day-of questions.
- WhatsApp on the day. If a session slips or the hotel reroutes arrivals, message a real person. We adjust the last kilometre; we do not leave you at a closed kerb.
Why a private transfer for tennis week
Tournament-week taxis surge and may not wait for a delayed long-haul. The train to Basel SBB still leaves you short of St. Jakobshalle; Gstaad is slower still with changes. A private Zurich Airport tennis transfer is a fixed fare, 60 minutes of airport waiting, an English-speaking driver, and a pickup we personally guarantee. January Forum week in Davos uses the same rule — see WEF Davos Transfer.
- Guaranteed pickup. Every booking is personally tracked. You are not left in arrivals while an app driver cancels.
- Fixed price. The fare you see is the fare you pay — no meter, no tournament-week surge on listed routes.
- Match-week timing. Flight tracking, 60 minutes of airport waiting, and a driver who will wait if the evening session overruns.
- Gstaad in July. The EFG Swiss Open at Roy Emerson Arena is the secondary week on this page — same fare rule, longer mountain road.

The same chauffeur service covers the clay-court week in Gstaad each July. Roy Emerson Arena sits in the Saanenland — a longer mountain-road drive from Zurich Airport than Basel, at the same fixed-price rule.

Swiss tennis weeks from Zurich Airport
Swiss Indoors Basel is the main week. In July we also drive the EFG Swiss Open in Gstaad. What each venue is known for, when diaries fill, and why a private chauffeur is usually simpler than the train or a tournament-week taxi.
Swiss Indoors Basel transfer from Zurich Airport
What it is known for
Swiss Indoors Basel is an ATP 500 indoor hard-court week at St. Jakobshalle, typically late October into early November. Around 60,000 visitors, plus players, media and corporate hospitality, fill Basel hotels and the hall. Most guests land at Zurich Airport (ZRH) rather than EuroAirport and want a private Swiss Indoors transfer that can wait if the long-haul is late.
When to visit
Tournament dates move a few days each year but stay in the late-October / early-November window. Book the inbound when the hotel or hospitality pass is confirmed. Evening sessions and late finishes are normal — we also cover hotel-to-hall hops and same-day returns to ZRH.
Travel tips
About an hour from ZRH to St. Jakobshalle or a Basel hotel (approx. 85 km). Name the hall entrance, hotel or a second stop (check-in, then the evening session). Groups and racquet bags: tell us the passenger count so we send a van if needed.
Private transfer vs train or rental car
The train from Zurich Airport to Basel SBB is possible, then a tram or taxi to St. Jakobshalle — awkward after a delayed flight with a group in match-week traffic. A private Zurich Airport to Swiss Indoors chauffeur is door to hall at a fixed price, with flight tracking included.
EFG Swiss Open Gstaad transfer from Zurich Airport
What it is known for
The EFG Swiss Open Gstaad is an ATP 250 clay-court week in July at Roy Emerson Arena. It is a mountain-town tournament: chalets, hospitality tents and a last stretch of Alpine road slower than the Basel autobahn. Guests usually fly into Zurich Airport (ZRH) and want one private transfer rather than a chain of trains into the Saanenland.
When to visit
July; exact dates move. Book when the hotel is confirmed — Gstaad rooms and cars fill with the draw week, not the night before. We cover practice days and the weekend finals, and the return to ZRH.
Travel tips
Plan around 2 hours 20 minutes and about 185 km from ZRH, longer in weekend traffic on the last climb. Name the hotel, chalet or Roy Emerson Arena. Extra cases and a group of four-plus usually need the van.
Private transfer vs train or rental car
Rail to Gstaad typically means changes (often Spiez / Zweisimmen) and still a local taxi to the arena. After a long-haul that is a hard day. A private Zurich Airport to Gstaad Swiss Open transfer is one vehicle, a fixed fare, and a pickup we personally guarantee.
Why this transfer around match week
- Timed to the session, not a generic airport slot. Give us the first match or hospitality start. Evening finishes at St. Jakobshalle are routine; we do not treat tennis week like a 10:00 city drop.
- Hall, hotel, or both — one fare. Check-in then the evening session, or straight to St. Jakobshalle. No second taxi after the last match.
- Groups and racquet bags. Tell us the headcount so we send a van when a sedan will not do. Kit stays in the vehicle, not on a tram from Basel SBB.
- If the session overruns, message us. We wait where waiting is allowed. We do not vanish at 23:00 because the last match ran long.
How we time a tennis-week ride
- Book with the box or the hotel. Lock the car when hospitality or the room is confirmed — tournament week is not a walk-up market.
- Send session time and the drop. St. Jakobshalle, a Basel hotel, or hotel then hall. Gstaad in July uses the same rule on the longer mountain road.
- We leave with the flight and the A1/A3. About an hour to Basel in ordinary traffic. No invented clock time through match-week congestion.
- WhatsApp if the last match runs late. Return to ZRH books as a second leg. Give the outbound flight so we are not early to an empty kerb.
